Current Dwelling: Kingsport, TN

In 2012, Molly Manis graduated from East Tennessee State University with a major in Fine Arts and a minor in Cultural Anthropology.  She started her life dreaming of illustrating for books and cartoons, but in 2007 discovered the joy of clay.  Molly, a Gatlinburg native, studied under Buie at Buie Pottery, where she learned the tricks of the trade.  In August, 2012, she opened Dirtwerks Clay Studio and Gallery in downtown Kingsport, TN.

After 3 years of running her own shop, Molly decided to it was time for a change. She moved her studio into her home, allowing her to spend more time focusing on her craft. This also gave Molly the opportunity to join forces with The Wander Trees!

Molly creates fully functional pottery pieces, as well as whimsical Critter Jars. She also does custom drawings and paintings, as well as,  teaches classes to those who would like to learn about clay.

When she's not in the studio, you can find her attending Volkswagen shows, playing Legend of Zelda or chilling with her husband and cats.
